After a full day of travel yesterday, through beautiful winding mountains, we came to the small village we would stay in for a night at base of our hike.
Today we took on the long and strenuous trek into Yubeng via the steep Xidang pass.
The sun broke through the mists and clouds and greeted us warmly after we summited the mountain pass.
For the time being, students are all resting before dinner. It is absolutely gorgeous here in this tiny village beneath the Meili mountain range and its stunning, majestic glaciers.
Tomorrow we will hike to Shenpu, a waterfall considered holy by the Tibetan people, located higher in the mountains.
